A really lovely mid '70s Dove that plays & sounds wonderful. The guitar produces a rich, powerful tone that projects quite loudly & the after-market Dean Markley soundhole pickup makes it stage-ready. The neck shows off some gorgeous flame maple figuring & feels comfortable no matter where you are on the fretboard. Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear / blemishes. The bridge had a couple of minor cracks that were professionally repaired by our own luthier. Overall the guitar looks really great, with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe & gorgeous patina.
Neck: 3-piece maple neck with flame figuring. Nicely aged cream binding with tortoise side-dots. Super dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with solid spruce top & 5-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with mother of pearl inlays & cream end pins. Tortoise pickguard with Dove motif & multi-ring rosette. The pickguard shows evidence of ageing & mild deterioration, but is still all there. Maple sides & back with 5-ply binding. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 3.3 oz.
Electronics: After-market Dean Markley soundhole pickup with end-pin input jack.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
