Description
What makes this guitar special: A scrappy player's grade Les Paul Custom priced accordingly & looking for a new home. This one's been through the mill, but still manages to maintain some of its mojo. Beat up, but not knocked out - take this black beauty home & make it sing again.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, buckle rash & some finish wear. There are two areas on the neck where repaired cracks were made - one up near the the headstock & the other down by the heel, extending into the body cutaway. The neck was off at one point & reset. There's also a repaired crack in the back of the body near the control cavity/input jack area. The top binding has separated from the body a bit in the cutaway area, but is not loose. The guitar has seen some abuse over the years, but is holding together firmly & is quite playable.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Bound headstock with mother of pearl diamond inlays. 5 of the tuners are original Gibson with one unoriginal Grover. All are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions, however, the neck angle is such that the bridge & tailpiece need to be raised a bit higher than normal.
