Description
What makes this guitar special: A superb player's grade Junior with a killer vintage vibe & massive tone. The neck profile is perfect & feels super comfy no matter where you are on the fretboard. The single P-90 packs a huge wallop & sounds magnificent. All in all, this is one gorgeous beast that needs a good home. Professionally set up by the experts at Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: This was definitely someone's go-to guitar & it shows - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & lots of finish wear. Overall the guitar has a really cool, true vintage look with a wonderful patina.
Neck: Chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. The guitar was refretted with similar size frets as the originals. The current frets are in great shape with no wear. Newer Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions.
Body: Single-cutaway, one-piece mahogany body in sunburst finish. Unoriginal wrap-around bridge. Original, single-ply black pickguard. The jackplate is missing one screw because the hole underneath it in the body has widened. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 12.5 oz.
Electronics: Original P-90 single coil pickup with black "dog ear" cover - 7.93K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with later period gold "speed knobs". Pots & cap appear to be original & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Later period Gibson "chainsaw" hardshell case included.
