What makes this bass special: 100% original & in really great shape aside from a minor headstock crack that was professionally repaired by our own master luthier. The bass has been professionally set up in house & plays exceptionally well. The Thunderbird logo on the pickguard is still very strong & vibrant looking. The double humbuckers deliver warm, rich, powerful tones that sustain for days.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & general light play wear. As previously mentioned there is a professionally repaired headstock crack that does not affect playability or sound quality.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-back nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Neck-thru design with solid mahogany wings. 3-point, top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles & original bridge cover. 3-ply white pickguard with '76 logo & chrome hardware. Bass weighs 9 lbs 12.7 oz.
Electronics: Dual humbuckers with chrome bezels & original cover for the neck pickup. Bridge - 9.68K ohms; Neck - 5.87K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '77 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
