Description
What makes this guitar special: All original & in really nice shape for its age. This gorgeous Chet Atkins Nashville features a pairs of FilterTron humbuckers, Bigsby tremolo tailpiece & finished in classic Gretsch orange. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds great.
Cosmetic Condition: The binding shows the typical cracking these older Gretsches are known for, however, the guitar itself is in really great shape. The orange finish is still quite strong & vibrant as well. There are various minor nicks, dents & dings throughout along with surface scratches. There's a chip out of one corner of the pickguard & most of the finish on the hardware has tarnished. Overall, though, the guitar still looks wonderful & has a nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck with well-aged cream binding & faded red side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with flame maple overlay. Grover open-back tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with simulated F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Rocking Bar bridge & working mute. Gold plexi pickguard with Chet Atkins signature. The back pad is in great shape & has all its snaps. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 10 oz.
Electronics: Original FilterTron humbuckers with gold bezels. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup, tone & standby switches. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
