Description
A super cool, true vintage Starfire II finished in classic Cherry & sporting a pair dynamic sounding humbuckers that deliver warm, rich, massive tones. Somewhat of a player's grade due to the unoriginal Badass bridge & Gibson control knobs, however, the bass plays & sounds amazing thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Super cool, true vintage vibe with good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, buckle rash, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the bass looks great & shows off a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Small frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Nickel open-back tuners are in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 31" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, semi-hollow mahogany body with dual F-holes. Unoriginal gold Badass bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply bound top & back with double finger rests. Unoriginal gold strap buttons. Bass weighs 8 lbs 12.1 oz.
Electronics: Original double humbuckers. Dual volume & tone controls with master volume control. All knobs are unoriginal Gibson "top hats". 3-way pickup toggle switch & original "choke" button for the neck pickup. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Vintage Gibson hardshell case included. The case shows some wear & tear, but serves its purpose well & looks so cool.
