Description
What makes this guitar special: Handmade right here in Milwaukee and certainly a very interesting dreadnought indeed. The only information or markings we could find is a label inside the body that reads Guitar Gallery with its Milwaukee address & underneath that the signature Robert V. Bascoe, August 1974. Featuring all solid tonewoods, the guitar has a beautiful voice that's bright, punchy & projects exceptionally well. Professionally set up up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some mild finish wear from play. The bridge was professionally reglued & is perfectly attached to the top. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, true vintage look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Semi-chunky mahogany neck with a thick, ebony fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with bound top & back. Solid spruce top with an ebony bridge & individual string saddles. The rosette design matches the headstock overlay & looks really sharp. Solid rosewood back & sides with a beautifully book matched back. There is no pickup & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 2.7 oz.
Case: Hardshell case included.
