Description
An amazing sounding mandolin with a loud, powerful voice & gorgeous looks. The neck shows off some absolutely stunning flame figuring! Great shape & a superb player thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape for its age with no cracks in the wood & only mild play wear - various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & light weather checking. The tortoise guard "gassed out" over the years & has separated in the middle section, but we left it on anyway. Overall the mandolin has a beautiful, true vintage look with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Highly flamed maple neck with ebony fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with barely any wear, Rosewood headstock overlay. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/8" nut width; 14" scale length.
Body: Double-bound A-style body with dual F-holes. Solid spruce top in sunburst finish. Nickel tailpiece with ebony bridge & tortoise pickguard. Maple back & sides in brown finish. The arched back also shows of some very pretty flame figuring. There are no electronics & the mandolin weighs 1 lb 15 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included!
