Description
An absolutely gorgeous 1968 Martin D-28 that's stunningly clean & in museum quality. This true vintage beauty features a chunky profile mahogany neck along with the highly sought-after Brazilian rosewood back & sides - perfectly bookmatched & showing off some really pretty variegation in the wood. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready to be played upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Incredible condition for its age & very clean. Some minor nicks & dings; mild weather checking here & there; light surface scratches. Overall the guitar looks so wonderful you almost don't want to play it.
Neck: Chunky profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Grover Pat Pend tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid Sitka spruce top with 6-ply binding. Ebony bridge with cream end pins. There's an ever so minuscule gap in the back of the bridge & the body, but the bridge is still quite firmly attached to the top. The black pickguard has curled up a bit along the edges, but has not put any cracks in the top. Solid Brazilian rosewood back & sides with 3-ply binding & checkered center strip. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 13 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included - also in great shape.
