Description
What makes this guitar special: A magnificent sounding D-35 with a rich, robust tone & excellent sound projection - perfect for both fingerstyle or heavy strumming. Just recently acquired & professionally set up by our own master luthier, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, typical for a guitar its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some weather checking. The original pickguard had shrunk & as a result, created two minor cracks in the top. Our luthier replaced the pickguard & repaired the two cracks - both are glued & cleated & completely stable. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, true vintage look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Rosewood headstock overlay with Grover Rotomatic tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Action is low & neck is straight. String height at the 12th fret is just under 1/8".
Body: Solid spruce top with 6-ply binding. Ebony bridge with cream end pins. Unoriginal black pickguard (original curled up, but is included). Multi-ring rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides. 3-piece back with 3-ply binding. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 8.3 oz.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included along with the original warranty pamphlet.
