Cosmetic Condition: This super fine tenor uke appears to be from the 40's or 50's (it's difficult to say for sure since there's no serial number) & is in fabulous condition for its age! There are some very minor nicks, chips & dings along with mild surface scratches, but no cracks, breaks or repairs. It's 100% original with a marvelous, lively tone that is outrageously loud & resonant! A simply gorgeous little gem & a really special piece for someone's collection.
Neck: Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard & ivoroid dot inlays. Frets are in perfect condition with no wear. Nickel friction tuners with ebonoid buttons in perfect working condition. The Martin headstock decal is very clean & in great shape. 1 5/16" nut width; 17" scale length. Neck is very comfortable & plays beautifully up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid, all mahogany body with tortoise-bound top & back. Rosewood bridge with black end pins & 5-ply rosette. 9" lower bout width; 6 3/4" upper bout width; 3" depth; 12" body length; 25 3/4" overall length.
Case: Unoriginal vintage Gibson chipboard case included.
