Description
We love Rickenbackers, with so many coming through the shop over the years, and this one is in absolutely stunning condition for its age. A truly gorgeous guitar finished in classic Fireglo with more of an orangey tone to the red. There's also some pretty bird's eye figuring peppered in the back of the body & some light flaming in the back of the neck. All in all an ultra cool & beautiful guitar that plays as good as it looks.
Cosmetic Condition: Very clean for being 35 years old! A few minor nicks & dings with mild surface scratches. There's a little bit of finish chipping around the treble-side tuners, but overall the guitar looks great & has a cool vibe to it.
Neck: Maple & walnut neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Light rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl "shark tooth" inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Schaller tuners with old style Made In W. Germany stamp. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods work fine.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with bound back & slash hole. Step-down white pickguard and covered six-saddle bridge with "R" tailpiece. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 0.5 oz. Nice, light weight & exceptionally resonant! This guitar is so much fun to play!
Electronics: Dual Hi-Gain single coils with chrome bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend. 3-way toggle switch; mono & stereo outputs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
