What’s special about this guitar: This is a gorgeous Gibson ES-137 Classic in fantastic shape! This particular piece features absolutely stunning flamed maple top, back and sides in a beautiful finish. The Classic 137 utilized features a solid mahogany center block instead of maple and 490 R and 498 T pickups to command the sonic authority of a Les Paul Classic. With all of these design elements in place, this is a unique, great playing guitar that will work for any style of music!
Condition: This instrument is in excellent shape! There are just a few tiny surface scratches throughout the entire guitar. The protective plastic wrap is still intact on the pickguard! Fingerboard and frets have hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with super comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound body with flame maple top, back and sides in cherry sunburst finish with a Florentine cutaway. Stop-Bar tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge, speed control knobs, dual F-holes and a 5-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Slender three-piece maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid trapezoid inlays with a “C” inlay at the 12th fret. 1 11/16” nut. Grover tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson 490 R and 498 T humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 7.46K Ohms.
Bridge: 12.76K Ohms.
