The newest opening here at our shop is a full-time position on our E-Commerce team in the role of Customer & Content Specialist. 

In the role of our Customer & Content Specialist, you are the unflappable and up-beat voice of Cream City Music. This versatile role is responsible for writing exciting and engaging product descriptions for music gear on our website, providing exceptional customer service in all areas of music gear sales support, processing customer returns, and being the hero for our customers when something goes wrong. 

This position will give you a chance to work directly with new music gear, while working collaboratively with other people who live for guitars, basses, amps, effects, making music, and retail sales. 

This is a high-intensity role that matches well with people who thrive on teamwork, aspire to be leaders, have a desire to serve, and take pride in a job well done. A position on our E-Commerce team offers long-term career potential and excellent compensation for top performers. 


  • Write engaging product descriptions for new music gear including guitars, basses, amps, and effects 

  • Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about customer orders and our services & products 

  • Work with customers to resolve item returns, shipping inquiries, & order status questions 

  • Facilitate customer refunds & exchanges for online and phone customers 

  • Provide support for internal teams as needed for order & inventory support 


  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or customer service environment (MI Retail experience is preferred) 

  •  •Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • •Ownership and accountability in all aspects of the position 

  • •PC Proficient with ability to learn quickly 

  • •Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment 

  • •Self-motivated mindset with excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve problems 

  • •A positive and upbeat attitude with a proactive mindset 

  • •A candidate who is a musician with a passion for gear is preferred 

  • Ability to work Monday – Friday from 9AM – 6 PM
