Description
A 2005 Bad Cat Wild Cat 40R 2x12 combo amp in well-used cosmetic condition. This Mark Sampson-designed monster features the same front end as the legendary Matchless DC30, only with a beefier 40-watt EL34 power section. Like the DC30 Channel one features a 12AX7-based preamp with the classic 'Top Boost' sound. Channel has an EF86 front end and, unlike the DC30, gives you two tonal choices--either a single stepped tone switch that alters the low frequency character of the amp, or another 'Top Boost' control set. The amp also sports a lovely spring reverb. This amp has been cleaned, tested, and retubed with a fresh set of Gold Lion KT77s. It is fully functional and sounds absolutely fantastic.
