Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a super clean Deluxe Tele considering it’s 10 years old. The cuts of alder used for the body have some unique figuring including the thin dark blade that extends past the bridge and adds a bit of visual character, especially under a Cherry Sunburst finish. The noiseless pickups sound great and still sport all sorts of classic Tele twang without all the extra noise. The S-1 switch adds an additional dimension as well, allowing players to run the pickups in either series or parallel. Plus, the body is clean, the neck plays great nut to cutaway, and of course, all the extra appointments give it a bit of extra flash.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only various small dings, dents, nicks, scuffs, and light scratches, but is otherwise in fantastic shape for a 10-year-old guitar. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Single cutaway contoured select alder body in Cherry Sunburst finish. Single-ply top binding. Deluxe plate bridge with individually adjustable saddles. 3-ply pearloid pickguard. Knurled chrome control knobs.
Neck: Modern C shape maple neck and maple fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. 1 11/16” nut. 22 medium jumbo frets. 25.5” scale. Fender chrome sealed tuning machines.
Electronics: Noiseless single-coil Tele pickups in the neck and bridge. 1 x master volume control (w/ S-1 switch) and 1 x master tone control.
Weight: 7 lbs 14.9 oz
Playability/Sound: The modern C neck on this guitar is as comfortable as any and plays easily from the nut to the cutaway. The noiseless pickups sound great in all 3 positions starting with a warmer, fuller neck and finishing with crisp twang and jangle in the bridge.
