Description

This is an New Old Stock “B-Stock” guitar from 2006 we’ve acquired from Gretsch. It’s in nearly mint condition. The guitar has a small amount of very minor finish haze on the back. Otherwise it is mint perfect condition! This guitar predates Gretsch’s reunion with the Chet Atkins branding so the guitar is technically called a “Country Classic” and that is what is inscribed on the decorative headstock plate.  Replacement plates with the proper “Chet Atkins Country Gentleman” are available and in stock.

This is the original Country Gentleman model G6122-1958 from Gretsch's Professional Collection. This guitar is a perfected recreation of the original first year Country Gent. The G6122-1958 features a thicker 2.75" body and Trestle bracing. It's a big guitar with big tone. The guitar is all Pro-series Gretsch with perfect playability and neck angle and classic warm tones. The bridge mounted Filter'Tron is bright and snappy and neck pickup has deep bass response and great vintage character. They sound great when played clean or with a bit of overdrive as well. We are a long standing fully authorized independent Gretsch guitar dealer. This is an NOS “B-Stock” guitar and comes with the deluxe Gretsch hard case, all documentation and the Gretsch Limited lifetime warranty. If you have any questions at all please feel free to give us a call!
