Description
What makes this guitar special: This Casino was modified by a previous owner in an apparent attempt to match the specs of the “Inspired by John Lennon” Casino. This was done pretty tastefully, and the sanding down of the finish has given the guitar a really cool satin look, setting it apart from other gloss finished Casino models. While it isn’t the real thing, it sure looks like it! It’s a great player at its price point, and comes with a professional setup from Cream City Music, so it’ll sound great right out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Great overall shape, with some visible surface and playwear scratches, some minor fretwear, and a few small scuffs and dents. The clear coat has been sanded down on the body, which was done pretty evenly, but there are a few areas where remnants are still visible, most notably around the control knobs and the pickups. The headstock appears to have been sanded down as well, so there are light surface scratches visible there too. The original manufacturer label has been pulled from the inside, so the true serial number of this piece isn’t available. Original pickguard is also gone.
Body: Multi-ply double bound maple body in flat natural finish with Tune-O-Matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece.
Weight: Exactly 6 lb.
Neck: D shaped mahogany neck with double bound rosewood fingerboard, black side dots, and pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in good shape with only minimal wear. Headstock sports a black overlay with chrome-sealed tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4” scale length. Neck is straight and truss rod works fine.
Electronics: Dual Epiphone P90 pickups (Neck-11.31K ohms, Bridge-11.71K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and vintage style tophat knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.
