Description
Condition: This is a great playing vintage guitar with awesome sounding pickups. The finish has been stripped down to the bare wood of the body. This could be an excellent refinish project for someone. The plastic top has various surface scratches and looks great overall. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. One tuning button has been replaced and works fine. The mute switch acts as a tone switch getting darker when turned on, otherwise all electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid maple body with red plastic top in red finish. Nickel vibrato tailpiece, rosewood bridge with nickel saddle and a one-piece top/pickguard with raised white pickguard, gold foil center piece and control panel with slider controls and a single skirted control knob.
Neck: Slender neck with highly figured dark maple fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge with on/off switched for each pickup, tone switch, mute switch and a master volume control.
Neck: 6.06K Ohms.
Bridge: 7.09K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 11.0oz.
Playability/Sound: The pickups on this guitar are phenomenal and have great output. They can cover a wide range of tones from bright and chimey to very warm and mellow. They have a very distinct, one-of-a-kind sound. The neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
