What’s special about this guitar: This is a gorgeous, true vintage 1963 Gibson Les Paul Junior & is in great condition for its age! This is a transitional model so it has the Les Paul Junior Model logo on the headstock, but the SG body. Everything from the look and feel to the phenomenal vintage sound of this guitar is beyond appealing, making it a highly desirable piece! The neck offers that perfect 60s wide feel, the deep beveled body edges are perfectly shaped and the P-90 sounds incredible, offering an authentic vintage tone. This is a vintage guitar that simply inspires anyone who picks it up to play!
Condition: This guitar is in great overall shape for its age! There are various scratches, small nicks, dings, dents, small chips and weather checking throughout the guitar; just enough to give it that awesome authentic vintage look! There are a few blemishes on the body that have been touched-up by hand. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with very comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. The nickel on the top of the bridge has worn off a bit and there is one small chip in the pickguard. Both still function perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid, contoured mahogany body in cherry finish. Original wrap-around tailpiece, skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 2-ply black pickguard. The pickguard has warped slightly but does not get in the way of playing.
Neck: Wide mahogany neck with a beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Three-on-a-strip Kluson Deluxe nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Dog Ear P-90 pickup in the bridge position with master volume and tone controls.
