What’s special about this guitar: This is a great playing vintage Coronet in Silver Fox finish which looks awesome. This guitar has an excellent sound and feel thanks to the solid mahogany body with a P-90 pickup and the slender mahogany neck. The finish on this particular piece is in great overall shape for the instruments age and really has a cool authentic vintage look!
Condition: This guitar is in very good shape for its age! There are scratches, small nicks, dings, dents, chips and consistent weather checking throughout the guitar; all of which give it a great vintage look! There are a few larger dings throughout the guitar but none are too noticeable. There are two small finish cracks on the back caused by stress that are on either side of the neck on back. These are only cosmetic. Fingerboard and frets have only light play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with super comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. The trem arm is missing however all electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition. One pot dates to 1964, the other is illegible but likely dates to the same year.
Body: Solid mahogany body in Silver Fox finish. The finish on this piece has faded in a way that gives it a very cool appearance! Maestro Vibrola tailpiece and wrap-around bridge. Dual skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 3-ply white pickguard.
Neck: Super comfortable, slender mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Six-on-a-strip Kluson Deluxe tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Dog Ear P-90 single-coil pickup in the bridge with master volume and tone controls.
P-90: 6.44K Ohms.
