Description
What’s special about this bass: This is a great sounding vintage Musicmaster bass with fantastic playability. The pickup sounds superb; the body shape and red finish look awesome and the neck profile is extremely comfortable. On top of that everything is original! This piece was part of a larger collection of instruments we recently acquired.
Condition: Very good shape overall! There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar with some buckle rash on the back. There are some larger dings and areas of the finish worn through to the bare wood throughout the instrument, but ultimately it has a great vintage look! There are a few small letter and number shaped sticker "ghosts" on the bass side shoulder. Fingerboard and frets have only moderate play wear. The neck is nice and straight with super comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in red finish. Top-load bridge with two individual saddles, dual plastic control knobs, thumb rest and a beautifully aged white 3-ply pickguard.
Neck: Nicely rounded and super comfortable maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. There is some subtle but very nice birdseye figuring throughout the neck and headstock! Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Open-gear nickel tuners, 30” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original grey bottom single-coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 5.31K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 5.5oz.
Case: Includes a vintage hardshell case. The handle and a couple of latches are missing but otherwise the case works fine.
