What’s special about this bass: This is a huge sounding Gibson EB-O. The pickup sounds warm, full and fat! The neck is particularly comfortable. It is slender yet rounded in a way that allows it to fit comfortably in the player’s hand. The cherry finish is beautiful and the bass is in overall great shape for its age. Everything is original and in perfect working condition! This model features a slotted headstock which is rare and makes it quite desirable indeed.
Condition: Great shape & very clean for its age! There are various scratches, small nicks and dings, some buckle rash on the back and a few areas of the finish that have worn through to the bare wood from normal play wear. There is a small sticker "ghost" on the back of the headstock, but this is not easily noticeable. Fingerboard and frets have only light play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with very comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: SG-style solid mahogany body in cherry finish. Chrome tailpiece/bridge with four individual saddles, string mute mechanism and bridge cover. Dual skirted control knobs with silver inserts and 3-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Super comfortable, slender mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Slotted peg head with sealed Gibson tuners, 30.5" scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson humbucker in the neck with master volume and tone controls.
Weight: 7lbs, 12.0oz.
Case: Includes a vintage hardshell case. The original owner’s manual is included in the case!
