Description

What makes this guitar special: A rare Martin, built to commemorate America’s Bicentennial, with deluxe appointments and a gorgeous fit and finish. Feel free to celebrate your life and liberty, but scratch the pursuit of tonal happiness-this one has you covered. Agile and succinct tonal balance, with stunning projection and a near perfect blend of sound. The lows have the thunder of a cannon, while the highs ring as clear as the Liberty Bell, and the pure and resonant mids are stitched as perfectly in-between as the white on the flag. This limited run guitar not only sounds like freedom, it looks like it too-with 13 stars inlaid on the fingerboard and a mother-of-pearl eagle etched into the headstock. Let the acoustic tones of freedom ring, and bring this one home today.

Cosmetic condition: Great condition for its age, with expected signs of playwear throughout. Various scratches, nicks, dings, scuffs, and dents throughout, with visible weather checking throughout. There is some surface level buckle rash on the back of the body, and a few spots of light finish wear. The bridge saddle has been taken down over time as well, so there is a limited amount of room left on it. However, the action is so great this is not an issue.

Body: Double bound Indian Rosewood sides with 3-piece herringbone inlaid Indian Rosewood back (much like a D-35) and X-braced solid Sitka Spruce top. Ebony bridge with ivoroid bridge pins, multi-ring herringbone rosette, ivoroid purfling, and single ply black pickguard.

Weight: 4 lb, 11.1 oz

Neck: Chunky C-shaped mahogany neck with unbound ebony fingerboard and pearloid star inlays. Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16” nut width, 25.4” scale length. Frets are in good shape and still have a lot of life left in them. Neck is straight and notes ring clear up and down the length of the fretboard.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
