Description: 1953 Vintage Gibson LG-2 Acoustic Guitar in Sunburst Finish
Condition: Very good overall! Various surface scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the finish. Consistent weather checking and a beautiful patina on the binding have given this guitar a beautiful vintage look and vibe. Bridge saddle is unoriginal and tuning buttons have been replaced, otherwise all parts are original and in perfect working condition. Neck is very straight, truss rod has been tested and is in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound LG2 shaped body with spruce top and mahogany back and sides in vintage sunburst finish. Rosewood bridge with bone saddle, tortoise pickguard and an inlaid ring rosette around the sound hole.
Neck: Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Three-on-a-strip nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 25” scale length.
Playability/Sound: This guitar produces a very warm and punchy tone thanks to the body shape and size. The woods have matured giving it a very natural sound. This piece responds very well to playing dynamics offering up great volume and resonance the harder it is played.
Case: Includes vintage chipboard case.
