Description: 1960s Vintage Gibson EH-630 8-String Pedal Steel Guitar
Condition: Good overall. Some of the metal parts have some corrosion though they are all functioning properly. Various surface scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the console finish. There is one visible crack near the nut on the treble side of the neck (see photos). This crack is showing no movement and does not affect sound or playability. Metal fingerboard and frets have some dents and the paint is wearing off in areas. All parts are original and in good working condition.
Body: Maple console with gorgeous flame figuring on the sides in sunburst finish. Black plastic cover with Gibson logo over the bridge components, gold speed control knobs and raised center piece for neck.
Neck: The neck is raised ¾” off the console with a gold painted metal fingerboard with 3.5” metal roller bridge painted black frets, black dot fret markers and a 3.5” metal roller nut. Nickel open-gear tuners, 22 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single Dog Ear P-90 with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 9.20K Ohms.
Playability/Sound: This is a very unique and rare Gibson Pedal Steel. The P-90 provides a great sound with tons of clarity and the volume and tone controls can easily be utilized to achieve a brighter or warmer sound.
Case: Includes unoriginal wood case in rough condition. This instrument will be double boxed to provide a safe shipment.
