Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a fantastic sounding LG-1 with a ton of character in terms of look and tone. This guitar has a rich midrange that is highlighted in the upper registers with excellent responsiveness and subtle warmth. The neck is very easy to play, especially for players with smaller hands, and moves easily with a comfortable and familiar shape top to bottom. The whole guitar has aged gracefully, with a warm shift in its color to match its overall tone. In addition, it is in great shape for a 50 year old guitar that has managed to keep its vintage vibe without losing the integrity of its original appearance.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does have various nicks, dings, dents, and scratches, normal finish checking, a few marks on the binding, and a hole that was drilled for a jack, but it is still in fantastic shape for a 50 year old guitar. The frets show mild wear but still have some life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions.

Body: Bound spruce top in Sunburst finish with bound mahogany back and sides. Tortoiseshell pickguard. Belly-up bridge with uncompensated saddle. White bridge pins. Single ring rosette.

Neck: Medium round mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. 3-per-side tuning machines with white buttons. 1 9/16” nut width.

Weight: 4 lbs

Playability/Sound: The smaller neck on this guitar is very easy to move around and the profile is familiar. The midrange response is fantastic and has rich character in its upper registers. The overall articulation is excellent and the top sounds like it has matured beautifully from years of use.

Case: Includes original chipboard case.
