Description

What makes this guitar special: This model was produced for only about five years from the mid to late 60s, and this guitar stands as a fantastic example, given that is it still very clean for its age and still plays and sounds great. The pickups have an absolute ton of character from its surprisingly articulate neck that boasts solid mid-range character and top end clarity, to the bright and crisp bridge that outputs tons of classic chime and jangle. Its semi-hollow body has a wonderfully resonant body that makes it almost as much of a pleasure to play acoustically as it is amplified. Plus, its super clean for its age and outside of a few marks here and there as well as some normal playwear, its still in great shape, still plays well and sounds even better.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall, if not better. Aesthetically, it shows various minor nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, scratches, and other forms of light playwear, but is still in great shape for being nearly 50 years old. The frets show mild to heavy wear, but are still even, play fine, and do have some life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Double cutaway maple semi-hollow body in Red finish. Single-ply top and back binding. 3-ply raised white pickgaurd. Fixed vertical-barrel bridge and trapeze tailpiece. Chrome bowler hat control knobs with Mosrite “M” tops. 3-ply white half moon control plate. Bound F-holes.

Neck: Medium depth C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with double small dot inlays and single side dots. Nickel vintage-style Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with cream plastic buttons. 1 5/8” roller-style nut. 24 ¾” scale length.

Electronics: Original Black Mosrite humbuckers in the neck and bridge. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. 3-way pickup selector.

Neck: 7.07k Ohms

Bridge: 7.54k Ohms

Weight: 7 lbs 2.1 oz

Playability/Sound: The C shape neck should be an easy transition for a wide variety of players and plays great at length. The pickups sound phenomenal in all three positions. The neck is surprisingly articulate with a mild low end, rich mid-range, and top end with some extra pop, while the bridge is bright and full of jangle and chime.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
