Description

Description: 1974 Vintage Contreras Classical Acoustic Guitar Made in Spain

Condition: Very good overall. The center strip brace on the inside has a few small areas that have broken off (see photos). This is very minor and does not affect playability or sound and is causing no harm structurally. Fingerboard and frets have light play wear and tone of life left in them. Cosmetically there are a few light surface scratches and some weather checking; overall very clean! All parts are original and in perfect working condition.

Body: Double bound body with spruce top, mahogany sides and mahogany back with a veneer in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with ivoroid saddle, rosette around sound hole.

Neck: Mahogany neck with ebonized fingerboard and a 2 1/16” nut. Slotted peg head with three-on-a-strip tuners, 25 ¾” scale length.

Playability/Sound: This guitar produces a deep, rich sound with plenty of volume and resonance. It has a particularly “woody” tone overall with even response from all strings. The neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style.

Case: Includes vintage hardshell case.
