Description
This guitar is fresh out of a collection we just purchased. The owner was an employee at Gibson during the 70s-80s, who obtained it directly from the factory.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar is very clean, but is stamped with BGN SECOND in the back of the headstock, indicating it's a factory second. The bridge is pulling up a bit from the top of the guitar, mostly on the treble side, but it can be reglued. Despite the bridge lift the guitar is quite playable & aside from that is in excellent condition overall. It has a fresh set of strings & low action.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Gibson script headstock logo with chrome tuners in perfect working condition. 1 7/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid spruce top with rosewood "fan" bridge & end pins. Mahogany back & sides; no pickguard or pickup. 16" lower bout; 11 3/4" upper bout; 5" lower bout.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
