Description
Description: 1979 Vintage USA Made C.F. Martin EM-18 Electric Guitar Very Rare!
Condition: Very good condition overall! Most notably there is a headstock crack repair. The repair was done professionally, is holding together perfectly and does not show any signs of movement whatsoever. Various surface scratches, nicks, dings and light buckle rash on the back. Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them!
Body: Solid maple body with mahogany center strips in natural finish. Wrap-around tailpiece with six individual saddle, knurled barrel control knobs and three switches.
Neck: Set mahogany neck with medium “C” shaped profile, rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 10/16” metal nut. Sperzel tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: DiMarzio humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls, series/parallel phase switch, coil tapping switch and a 3-way pickup selector switch.
Neck: 8.52K Ohms.
Bridge: 8.40K Ohms.
Weight: 8lbs, 14.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a very rare electric Marin guitar. The solid maple body produces a very crisp sound that is bright yet retains plenty of warmth. The series/parallel phase switch and coil tapping switch really give the player a huge variety of tonal options. The neck repair was done extremely well and does not affect the sound or playability of the guitar at all.
Case: Includes vintage hardshell case.
