Description
Cosmetic Condition: Good condition overall - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There are some very minor surface cracks in the fingerboard from the 11th to the 19th frets. They are superficial & do not affect playability or sound quality. Overall the bass has a cool look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Maple neck with "skunk stripe" & black side dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Bullet truss rod with single string tree. Truss rod functions well. Nickel Schaller tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck & body both date to 1980.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body in sunburst finish. High-mass, top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles. Serial number stamped on the bridge is B001176. Bass weighs 9 1/2 lbs.
Pickup: Single bass humbucker with strong output. Master volume & dual tone controls with 3-way mini toggle switch which provies parallel, series & series with a bass boost. Pots date to '79.
Playability / Sound: Nice action - neck plays well & is very comfortable. This bass offers a variety of tonal texture - warm & rich with massive low end to high end with snap & pop. A really versatile sounding bass!
