Description

What makes this guitar special: Despite its simple aesthetics, this is a powerful dreadnought with a character like few others. Its tonal response largely stems from its combination of all-mahogany construction and its dreadnought shape. Together they provide a solid low end, rich, meaty midrange, and sweet and smooth top end that still boasts great articulation, all of which are wrapped in a shroud of warmth and vintage vibe. Considering it is over 35 years old, this guitar is also still in great shape and still plays and sounds like a champ. Plus, it comes with its original hardshell case and a professional setup so it plays even better.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, and scratches, but is still in great shape for a guitar that’s over 35 years old. The frets show only light to mild wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should. The truss rod cover is cracked by the top screw, but still works just fine.

Body: All mahogany double-bound dreadnought body in Mahogany finish. Dual ring rosette. Deep red tortoiseshell pickguard. Rosewood bridge with uncompensated saddle. White bridge pins with abalone dots.

Neck: Medium depth C shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Vintage-style 3-per-side open-gear tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale. .87” deep at the 1st fret and 1.44” deep at the 12th fret.

Weight: 5 lbs 6.5 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck has a nice chunky feel to it and will be perfect for players who like a bit more heft to their neck shape. The tone is incredibly warm thanks to its mahogany top, but also boasts a solid low end response, and sweet, smooth top end that still possess a good amount of clarity.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
