Description

Here's what we've got on the 1981 Inventions Professional DRV-this version is a fresh take on an already revered circuit. If you're a tone chaser who appreciates boutique builds, careful circuit voicing, and the subtle flavor changes that germanium diodes bring to a drive section, this one's worth checking out. It isn't a Klon copy, but it does tip its hat to the Centaur vibe in spirit. This version uses NOS germanium 1N34A diodes for a slightly more saturated, mid-forward take on the DRV sound. Think less treble bite, more warm push.

Tonally, this is the thickest, juiciest DRV variant to date. You'll notice the gain is a little fuller across the sweep, with smoother mids and more natural sag in the low end. It walks the line between a meaty overdrive and fuzz-laced saturation. The CUT control has a darker sweep overall, letting you dial in warmth without losing clarity. You won't mistake this for any other version in the DRV family, it's its own thing.

From a build standpoint, this run uses raw aluminum enclosures with subtle clear coats for protection, and each one has its own unique visual character. Built by hand in Nashville, these pedals are solid, reliable, and vibe-rich. The red LED, heat-aware diode setup, and boutique finishing touches seal the deal. This is one of those pedals we feel great putting on the shelf. You'll hear the difference.
