Description
What’s special about this bass: This is a great sounding 1982 G&L L-1000 bass with a very comfortable neck, versatile electronics and exceptional sound. Features include a top-load bridge with four saddles, a contoured body, nicely rounded maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and a humbucking pickup with a three way toggle switch for series/parallel switch. This switch acts as a bass boost in series and a bass cut in parallel.
Condition: Very good overall shape, especially for the bass’s age! There are various surface scratches, scuffs, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the bass with some buckle rash throughout the back. The fingerboard and frets show some play wear but still have tons of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable with great action and the truss rod and neck tilt adjustment both function perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in black finish. G&L top-load bridge with four individual saddles. Knurled control knobs and a mini toggle switch on a crinkle finish control panel.
Neck: Nicely rounded, slender maple neck with a skunk stripe down the back. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. G&L open-gear tuners, 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: G&L humbucker in the middle position with a master volume control, treble cut control, bass cut control and a series/parallel mini toggle switch. The switch is actually a three way switch but the furthest bas setting (toggle closest to the strings) is the same as the middle position.
Pickup: 4.37K Ohms.
