Description
Description: 1982 Vintage Dobro Square Neck 6-String Resonator Acoustic Guitar
Condition: Very good! There are two long finish cracks on the back and a few tiny ones around the screen sound holes. These cracks are only in the lacquer and do not go through to the wood at all (see photos). Various light surface scratches throughout the finish; overall very clean! There are a few very small areas with extremely light hazing in the lacquer, mostly on the bottom. This requires extreme close-up inspection to be visible. Fingerboard and frets are immaculate. All parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound body with maple top, back and sides in sunburst finish. Trapeze tailpiece, fan cover plate, spider style bridge, dual screen sound holes and three small sound holed directly under the fingerboard. This model features a soundwell.
Neck: Square maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 13/16” nut. Slotted peg-head features three-on-a-strip onep-gear tuners, 24.5” scale length.
Weight: 6lbs, 3.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a beautiful sounding resonator. The body size combined with the maple top, back and sides give this guitar a warm sound with just the right amount of attack and plenty of volume and resonance. The spider style bridge does an excellent job of transferring the string vibration evenly over the resonator cone while the sound-well helps to focus the sound. The neck width is extremely comfortable and suitable for any style of slide playing.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
