Description

What makes this guitar special: Especially for the price, there are few guitars that provide this amount of character, tone, and playability. The tonal personality of this guitar is fantastic, starting with a smooth and compressed low end, moving through a rich and full midrange, and finishing with a beautifully crisp top end, all of which has a lively response and inherent low to midrange warmth. At nearly 30 years old, the finish has aged perfectly and shows its tenure with tasteful finish checking and numerous love marks throughout, confirming its status as a well-loved instrument. The mid-sized body provides equal amounts of playing comfort, volume, and natural resonance while its slim profile neck moves effortlessly.

Condition: This Guild is in good condition overall, if not better. It does have various nicks, dings, dents, chips, scuffs, scratches, and other forms of normal wear, but structurally is still in prime shape and still sounds as beautiful as it plays. The frets show only light to mild wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Folk-style body with rounded bass bout composed of a spruce top in Sunburst finish and arched mahogany back and mahogany sides. Black binding on the back and black binding with white purfling on the top. Two-ring rosette. Tortoiseshell pickguard. Rosewood bridge with white bridge pins and an uncompensated saddle.

Neck: Slim C shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Chrome Grover tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut. 25.5” scale.

Weight: 4 lbs 11 oz

Playability/Sound: The slim mahogany neck is an absolute breeze to move around and serves as a nice complement to the lighter weight body. The tonal response is very lively and especially rich in the midrange with pleasant warmth throughout the dynamic range.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
