Description

What makes this guitar special: First off, this guitar is in fantastic shape for its age. Outside of a few minor dings and light scratches throughout, it shows very little wear and still looks and plays like its barely been touched. This model stems from the first year of Custom I production, a few years after the Pacer line had been introduced in the early 80s. It boasts a triplet of Seymour Duncan pickups with a single-coil each in the neck and middle, and a humbucker in the bridge. The neck and middle have a decent amount of body, but a majority of their character stems from a round and hyped upper midrange, which provide apt contrast to the super hot bridge pickup that bites with ease. The slim neck is a breeze to move around and will be perfect for players who like a fast profile. Plus, this guitar comes with a hardshell case and a professional setup so it plays great right out of the case.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It shows only light surface scratches and a small ding here or there, but is remarkably clean for a 30-year-old guitar. The frets show only light to mild wear but are nice and even, still play great, and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should. The case is only in good shape, as it does have a good amount of wear but still latches closes and works just fine.

Body: Double cutaway contoured sharp-radius body in Gold finish. Floyd Rose tremolo bridge. Black knurled dome control knob. Black hardware.

Neck: Slim to medium depth D shape maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Sealed black Schaller tuning machines. Allen wrench holder mounted on the back of the headstock. 1 5/8” locking nut. 25.5” scale. .80” deep at the 1st fret and .88” deep at the 12th.

Electronics: Seymour Duncan single-coils in the neck and middle, Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge. 1 x volume control. 3 x pickup on/off switches. 1 x coil tap switch.

Weight: 8 lbs 2.4 oz

Playability/Sound: The slim maple neck on this guitar is super fast and plays very easily. The single-coils in the neck and middle have classically hyped mid-range jangle while the humbucker in the bridge is super hot with a ton of bite.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
