Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a discontinued model that Gibson produced as part of their Custom line, between 1987 & 2005. This particular model is an early one from '89 & sports a gorgeous trans cherry finish with gold hardware. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some finish wear. There's a professionally repaired headstock crack that is stable with no movement & does not affect playability or sound quality.
Neck: Medium profile maple neck with ebony fingerboard. Red & white block fret markers. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with single rounded cutaway. Multi-bound top & back. This model typically came with a Bigsby tremolo, but this one doesn't appear to be original because the end piece hangs too low off the body. Tune-O-Matic bridge on a floating ebony base with mother of pearl inlays. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding. Guitar weighs 10.60 lbs.
Pickups: Gibson humbuckers with black bezels. Master volume & tone controls with individual pickup volume controls. Black speed knobs & 3-way toggle switch. Jack plate is unoriginal. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
