It does not affect playability or sound (see photos). Fingerboard has very light play wear and is in excellent overall condition. All tuning pegs function perfectly. All parts are in perfect working condition.

Playability/Sound: This is a warm sounding viola with a bright overall tone. The spruce top and maple back and sides give it a classic sound and natural feel. The sanded neck design is extremely comfortable and really allows for ease of playability.
