Description
Condition: This is a great playing early model strat with a very clean finish overall. There are various surface scratches throughout the finish, some light buckle rash on the back, a few small nicks and dings and one finish chip. At least two of the tuning machines (the B and low E string machines) have been replaced. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier play wear towards the lower registers. The neck is very straight and the truss rod and neck tilt adjustment function fine. There has been some solder/wiring work but all electronics and parts are in excellent working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in Pewter finish. Vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge with unoriginal trem arm, parchment control knobs and a single-ply parchment pickguard and back cover plate.
Neck: Soft “V’ shaped maple neck with skunk stripe down the back. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Vintage-style nickel tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Fender Lace Sensor pickups in the neck, middle and bridge. Master volume control, TBX tone control in the middle, MDX active mid boost control and a 5-way selector switch. The circuit board is located beneath the pickguard and the battery compartment is beneath the back cover plate.
Weight: 7lbs, 15.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This Strat has a great feel thank to the soft “V” shaped maple neck. The active circuit allows players to go from a classic single-coil tone to a much thicker sound with the MDX boost control. This design gives players a huge range of tonal options.
Case: Includes Fender hardshell case in great shape.
