Description
Condition: This is a great playing, considerably light weight bass. Various scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. Fingerboard and frets have light play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. There has been some work done to the electronics where the pickup wires connect to the preamp. There are no markings on the preamp to determine what kind it is, but all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid double-cutaway ash body in translucent red finish. The wood grain shows through nicely giving this bass a classy look. High-mass bridge with four individual saddles and four plastic control knobs.
Neck: Slender bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Black Ken Smith tuners, 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Ken Smith single-coil bass pickups in the neck and bridge with master volume control, pickup blend control and an active 2-band EQ with controls for bass and treble.
Weight: 7lbs, 9.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a versatile bass that is extremely comfortable to play. The active preamp enables the player to dial in anything from a bright, punchy sound to a thick, warm tone. The light-weight ash body and slender neck makes this bass very comfortable.
