Description

What makes this guitar special: This is a great-playing P-Bass with traditional tone and a classic look. The split-coil this bass comes loaded with is a great bridge in terms of its overall tone. It still packs the timeless punch and thump it is so well known for, yet has a little extra character in its slightly rounded upper midrange that gives it a touch of vintage charm as well. The grains of its alder body look great under the ultimately classic Sunburst finish and complement the thin and straight grains of the cut of rosewood used for its fingerboard. It does have various love marks throughout, but that really only proves it to be an often used instrument and saves the next owner for any worry of putting the first marks in it.

Condition: This P-Bass is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, chips, and scratches, but is still pretty clean for an instrument that’s around 20 years old and still looks, plays, and sounds great. The pickguard has warped/lifted a bit in a few places. The frets show only light wear and still have a ton of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway contoured alder body in Sunburst finish. Fixed bridge with threaded saddles. Knurled chrome control knobs. Treble-side mounted finger rest.

Neck: Medium to slim depth C shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Open-gear tuning machines with clover keys. 1 ¾” nut width. 34” scale.

Electronics: Split-coil P-Bass pickup. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.

Weight: 9 lbs 1.0 oz

Playability/Sound: The pickup in this bass has the perfect balance of vintage vibe and modern applicability. It possesses the traditional low end thump and top end punch, yet has a slightly rounded upper middle range that gives it a bit more character than standards.

Case: Includes original hardshell case and case candy.
