Description
What makes this guitar special: Slightly different than Fender’s Heavy Metal Strats, but in a very similar vein, the Prodigy features on offset waist, sharper “horns” and an HSS setup that caters to the “Super Strat” player’s tastes. The comfortable neck profile and fantastic access to the higher registers lends itself to a large variety of playing techniques, and add the Kahler Locking tremolo into the mix, and you only enhance the versatility of this guitar. The pickups provide plenty of output and rich distortion, but can be reined in with the volume control to a nice clean tone that will suit many styles of music as well. Featuring a professional setup from our in-house technicians, this guitar is guaranteed to play great right out of the case.
Condition: This guitar is in good shape overall. It does possess some surface scratches, as well as some nicks, dings, weather checking, and chips throughout the entire guitar. Most noticeable are two large chips; one on the treble side horn and one on the lower treble side bout. These appear to have had touch-ups attempted on them, but they are still plenty noticeable. The frets are in great shape with only light wear and have a ton of life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod does not have a huge range of motion but functions fine. Vibrato arm is unoriginal but works fine.
Body: Double cutaway contoured poplar body in metallic red finish. Kahler synchronized locking tremolo bridge. Chrome vibrato arm. Black skirted controls knobs and a 3-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Slender C shape maple neck with skunk stripe (.86” at the 1st fret, .89” at the 12th fret). 22 fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays and white side dots. Black sealed gear tuning machines, 1 11/16” nut. 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single coil pickups in the neck and middle position with a humbucker in the bridge. Master volume and tone controls and a 5-way selector switch.

Middle: 5.39K Ohms.

Playability/Sound: The pickups offer everything from a sparkling clean tone, to a thick and rich distortion with plenty of output to spare. The humbucker can provide some searing lead tones but cleans up well when the volume knob is turned down. The neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes a Fender molded plastic hard shell case.
