Description
Condition: This guitar is designed to be a versatile, smooth player and it certainly delivers! There are scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the body, neck and headstock. The scratches on the body give the finish a somewhat hazy appearance in some areas. There is a hazing in the lacquer throughout the back which is likely due to moisture or a chemical reaction between the lacquer and the case. It is only visible upon close inspection. There are also some scratches on the headstock that create a somewhat hazy appearance. Some of the metal parts such as the screws and strap buttons have some blemishing. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck has a slight warp around the 12th fret but is mostly straight and comfortable to play. The truss rod functions fine. The neck tilt adjustment screw is partially stripped but does function. It is not accessible through the hole in the neck plate due to improper drilling so the neck plate must be removed to adjust the neck tilt screw. There are a few extra screw holes on the bottom of the neck. Three in the center were likely done in the factory, the two directly next to the current screw holes were likely done after production by a previous owner. The screw holes on the body have been widened a bit but the neck stays in place fine showing no movement. There are two routs on the inside of the body neck cavity. The routs were likely done in the factory. There has been some touch-up solder work done but all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in black finish. Floyd Rose Licensed vibrato bridge with vibrato arm, knurled control knobs and a metal cover plate over the springs on back and electronics.
Neck: Thin maple neck with maple fingerboard, dark pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” locking metal nut. G&L sealed tuners, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single coil pickups in the neck and middle and a humbucker in the bridge. Master volume and tone controls and a 5-way selector switch.
Neck: 5.95K Ohms.
Middle: n5.93K Ohms.
Bridge: 16.74K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 8.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a highly versatile guitar thanks to the HSS pickup configuration. The neck profile and locking bridge and nut setup make this guitar extremely comfortable to play while maintaining proper intonation.
