Description
Condition: Scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the finish. The surface scratches have caused the finish to have a somewhat “hazy” appearance in certain areas, mostly on the top. There are heavy pick scratches on the pickguard and a large square sticker ghost just beneath the bridge. There is some heavy buckle rash on the back. There are some larger dings, dents and chips throughout the entire guitar but no major damage (see photos). The metal parts have developed some corrosion and blemishing on the pickups, bridge and tailpiece. Fingerboard has light play wear; frets have some heavy play wear especially in the lower registers. The neck is still very comfortable and perfectly playable. The neck is very straight overall and the truss rod functions fine. The truss rod nut is very lightly stripped from the wrong size wrench being used in the past, but still works just fine. The tuners are unoriginal and the original screw holes are still visible. There is one small area in which it looks like there was some touch-up solder work, however all electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured body in black finish. Stop-Bar Tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic ABR-1 bridge, skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 5-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Slender mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard really has some nice looking grain and variegation giving the guitar a cool look. Pearloid trapezoid inlays, “Custom Shop Edition” on the back of the headstock and a 1 11/16” nut. Locking Sperzel tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Patent Applied for humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 8.49K Ohms.
Bridge: 12.70K Ohms.

Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding guitar that is very comfortable to play. The humbuckers have plenty of output and can easily provide anything from a clean tone with plenty of sparkle to a thick distortion with tons of sustain. The slender neck is exceptionally comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes original hardshell case. The case has several stickers, the covering is frayed along the edges and the original handle was replaced with plastic tubing. The case is still in good working condition with functioning latches.
