What makes this guitar special: 100% original & in fabulous shape. The perfect combination of spruce & rosewood produce a warm, rich tone. The body size lends itself well to loud sound projection & since it's a 12-string, the voice has a beautiful bell-like chime. All of these wonderful features are enhanced by the gorgeous abalone appointments throughout the guitar, namely the dancing lady on the headstock & intricate fretboard inlays. Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic. These particular high-end Larrivee models are becoming more & more difficult to find & this one is truly an amazing piece!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with only mild play wear & age marks. Various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & light weather checking.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl & abalone inlays. Frets do show some wear, but not too bad & there's plenty of life in them. The mother of pearl/abalone dancing lady headstock inlay is quite stunning & shows off some brilliant iridescent colors at various angles in the light. Schaller tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 7/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Solid spruce top with abalone purfling. Ebony bridge with abalone floral inlays. Ebony end pins with abalone dot inlays. Multi-ring rosette with abalone inlay & clear pickguard. Solid rosewood back & sides with abalone purfling. 17" lower bout width; 12 1/4" upper bout width; 4 3/4" depth. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 11.1 oz.
Electronics: Active, under-saddle pickup powered by a single 9-volt battery.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with owner's manual. The case has some minor wear & tear in the tolex, but is in good condition overall.
