Description
Condition: Various surface scratches, some nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the finish. There are some heavier surface scratches on the top around the selector switch, some buckle rash on the back and some dings and chips along the top and bottom edge. The finish between the upper and lower bass side bouts has a milky streak and some areas of the finish appear to have a very light and subtle haze; likely a chemical reaction between the lacquer and the case. The area around the input jack has been lightly buffed, perhaps a result of someone’s attempt to cover up the dings in this area. See photos for all cosmetic damage. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier play wear towards the lower registers. The neck has a bit of a warp with a back bow around the 12th fret. The bass side has slightly more relief than the treble side but we have adjusted it to the best of our ability. A heat press would not be ideal at this time. The truss rod functions fine. The nut has been upgraded to bone. The pickups have been upgraded to TV Jones FilterTrons but the original pickups are included in the case. This is a pre fender Gretsch (Made prior to Fender buying the company). All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
