Condition: This is a gorgeous sounding Martin acoustic that incorporates some vintage specs to make this a one-of-a-kind piece. There are scratches, nicks, dings, dents and a few small chips throughout the entire guitar. There are some heavy pick scratches on the top which have resulted in a slightly “hazy” appearance in some areas. There are a few somewhat noticeable dings and scratches throughout the top (see photos). There is some buckle rash on the back that has cause a slightly hazy appearance when looked at under light. There are also various scratches and scuffs throughout the back and sides. An under-saddle piezo pickup was installed by a previous owner with a long cut made in the saddle to compensate for the pickup (see photos). The ends of the saddle are slightly uneven with the edge of the bridge but this is very minor and does not affect sound or playability. The bottom strap button hole was widened to install the endpin jack. There was also a strap button installed on the treble side of the neck heel (see photos). Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.

Playability/Sound: This is a beautiful sounding guitar. The Sitka spruce top and East Indian Rosewood back and sides are a great combination providing a bright sound that retains warmth and character. You can tell by playing this piece that after the woods mature in several years, it will likely have an even warmer overall sound. The neck is extremely comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
Case: Includes original hardshell case. The case has some typical scratches and scuffs. One of the metal “feet” on the bottom has broken off but the case is in overall good condition.
