What makes this guitar special: A great limited edition player in a cool blue burst finish, nicely appointed with gold hardware and a 60’s style slim-tapered neck. This beauty plays very smoothly up and down the length of the nicely variegated rosewood fingerboard, and has killer tone, courtesy of the Gibson USA humbuckers. As with all our guitars, it comes professionally setup by one of our expert in-house luthiers, ready to rock right out of the original factory hard shell case.
Cosmetic condition: This guitar was obviously someone’s go-to, and shows plenty of wear consistent with usage-various nicks, dings, chips, dents, scratches, and scuffs, with some visible buckle rash and flattened clear coat on the back of the body. There is also a visible seam between the two pieces on the top. The headstock appears to have had a partial break that ran across bottom edge of the volute, which looks to have been professionally repaired and finished over. The headstock is sturdy and holds tension fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with bound flamed maple top in blue burst finish. Cream colored pickup bezels, gold Tune-O-Matic bridge, and gold stopbar tailpiece.
Weight: 9lb, 15.4oz
Neck: Slim tapered 60’s style mahogany neck with black side dots and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays. Headstock sports a black overlay with pearloid Gibson logo and gold Gibson Deluxe tuners, as well as a Limited Edition stamp on the back. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4” scale length. Double bound rosewood fingerboard is in great shape, and while frets show wear consistent with age, they still have a great deal of life left in them. Neck is straight and plays beautifully up and down the length of the fingerboard.
Electronics: Gibson USA humbuckers (Neck-13.91K ohms, Bridge-7.69K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and vintage style tophat knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.
Case: Original hard shell case included. Case shows plenty of wear and tear but still gets the job done fine. Handle is a replacement, locking latch is broken, and bottom latch is broken too. Still holds closed without any issue.
